Watch Jay Leno Toy Around With a Couple of Italy's Most Iconic Rally Cars

A Fiat 131 Abarth and a Group B Lancia Delta are the latest historic race cars to grace Jay Leno's garage.

Jay Leno has had the privilege of driving some truly special cars. This latest episode makes us particularly jealous, though, because it features Jay behind the wheel of an actual Lancia Delta S4 Group B rally car.

Collector John Campion was nice enough to bring a pair of Italian rally icons to Leno's garage for an episode of the comedian's YouTube series. The first car, a Group 4 Fiat 131 Abarth, was delivered new to America and raced in the late '70s. It was treated to a full restoration, and looks absolutely stunning. Leno notes the appeal of having a car that didn't look too different than a stock Fiat 131, showing that anyone could reasonably build one of their own.

The star of the show, though, is the Lancia Delta. Raced in-period during the height of Group B rally, it makes 550 horsepower from a mid-mounted 1.8-liter inline-four that's both supercharged and turbocharged. Wildly dominant and brutally quick, it's enough to get Leno excited behind the wheel. Considering his personal collection, that's no small feat.
